Brazil

I have donde this entry simply because my father and my father's family is from there. And I think that this is a good and an interesting idea.

Brasil is a conuntry of South America. It is the fifth largest country by geographical area, occupying nearly half of South America, the fifth most populous country, and the fourth most populous democracy in the world.

Oliver twist

Oliver twist is the second novel of Charles Dickens. It is the first novel in English language that takes a child as a protagonist.

Oliver Twist calls the attention to his readers on several social bad things of the epoch, as the infantile work or the children's utilization to commit crimes. The author jokes of the hypocrisy of the epoch treating these so serious topics with sarcasm and black humor.

The argument of the book is about a child who his mother die when he is born and he is brought up in a workhouse. His first year are cold and lonely and then he runs away to London where he perceives the poverty, the dirt and the delinquency. But he falls into the hands of Fagin and the terrifying Bill Sykes. They try to turn Oliver into a criminal.

Urban tribes are groups of people whose associations is based on the same way of life or activities. Urban tribes characterized for supporting a similar esthetics between several individuals of the same trend.

There are a lot of differents kinds of tribes, for example:

· Emos; This culture was born on 80s as a musical style as the Punk Hardcore. The word "Emo" comer from "Emotional".

A subculture derivative of the "Emos" are the "Pokemones". This are as the "Emos" but with a possitive point of view.

· Floggers; This is a virtual tribe. It was born in Argentina with the expansion of Internet.

· Grunge; were born un Seattle at the beginning of the 90s with the Punk evolution. The word "Grunge" means "dirt".

· Gothic; who were born in U.K in the 90s.

· Heavy; The "Heavys" were borni in U.K. at the beginning of the 70s, with the extremist radicalization of the Hippies, and the Rock music. The complete name is Heavy Metal. They came to Spain at the end of the 70s.

· Hippies; The were born in the 60s influenced by the injustices of the war of Vietnam.

· Mods; London, beginning of the 60s, small bourgeoises, with a modern style of the 40s and 50s. The word "Mods" means "anti-modern". (Ej, The Beatles).

· Rich kids (or Posh); They exist from the beginning of the times, but probably it's more evolved.

· Punks; They were born in England between 1976 and 1977. Nowaday, the aren't a lot of people, because the are very radicals. They sometimes met with Skins, Heavys and Gothics.

· Rappers; Their culture is the Hip-Hop. Their art is the Graffity. Their dance is the "Break Dance", and their sport is the Skate.

· Ska; This is a music style. It was borns in Jammaica in the 60s. But nowaday in Spain is very important.

· Skins; They were the skins antisystem, without certain ideology, the first ones that appeared. Before they had a bad reputation because the people said that Skins = Nazis, and it's not like that.

New Year Eve

The last 30 December I went to grandparent friend's house with friends to clean that hause because we were going to be there on new year eve.

On 31 December in the morning I was awake until 2:00 o'clock. I woke up I went to a market to buy drink and some chips for the night with two friends.

When I arrived home I sleep again a little bit more, and at 8:00 o'clocl I started to dress up and to get ready.

I had dinner with my parents, with my friends and with my parents' friends. I was with them until 12:30. The dinner was rigth, I was very relaxed. It was very cozy.

After dinner I went walking with two friends to the house of another friend, and just there we met more friends. In total we were 17 people. When we arrived I thougth that was going to be a little boring, but with the paning of the night I saw that It was going to be a very good night. I went home at 5:00 o'clock in the morning.

Family Guy

Family Guy is a TV programes designed for adults. It was created by Seth MacFarlane in 1999.

The program was canceled in 2002, but the public sued it and the programme was re-cast in 2005 with another programme called American Dad, also by Seth MacFarlane.

The first episode of Family Guy had more than 22 million viewers. During his second and third seasons, the Fox removed the episodes at different days and time slots, so, the program lost a lot of viewers.

Fox said the programme was been canceled at the end of the second season, and the fans started to send letters, to write notes througth Internet and also a boy sent diapers because he wanted save to Stewie.

The program is about the adventures of Peter Griffin and his family. They live in Quahog (Quahog is a fictional town in Rhode Island, E.E.U.U). Peter was an employed of a toy factory but when the owner of the factory died, Peter star to work in a beer factory called Pawtucket Patriot.

Willy of ockham

William of Ockham was born between 1280 and 1288. He was born in a small town of Surrey near the East Horsley. Like he was a franciscan he was very poor.

He died in 1349.

His Life

William studied in Oxford but he doesn't finish, he leave the studies and he started to write Philosophical and theological books. On 1324 he was four years under domiciliary arrest because the Papa Juan XXII condemned him.

In 1324 he also taught philosophy in a franciscan school in Avignon, but it made to Willy to had more enemies between his academic competitions as Tomás de Aquino.

Before to wait the opinion about the heresy of his philosophy, Willyam fled of Avignon on 26 of May 1328 and he went to Pisa with Miguel de Cesena and another friars. At the end They won the protection of the emperor Luis IV of Baviera. After all Willyam was excommunicated but his philosophy will never die.

He passed the rest of his life writing about politic things, including topics about temporary and spiritual things.

Piles

2 and 3 of E.S.O went to Piles on 6 of October. We were there for three days.

On 6 of October our class and 2 of E.S.O went to the beach of Piles for to spend there three days.

On monday we arrived to Piles at two o' clock because before that we were walking througth the mountain.

We have lunch in Piles, after have lunch we were relaxe on the beach, someone swam but i didn't swim for two resons; One because i was a little cold and two because i didn't have any bikini. We were every afternoon on the beach because the teachers also were tired.

At night we went to slep early because the rules of the place were very hards.

On Tuesday we were walking along he beachevery morning (taking photos, talkins...)and we have lunch there. At the afternoon we went to see the tower of Piles and when we came back we were playing games since dinner.

On Wenesday, our last day, we were relaxed on the beach again. We arrived to Valencia at the afternoon, more or less at four o' clock.

I think it was a very nice place and everything was rigth. But i would like more if we were make the travel with 4 of E.S.O.

Andy wahol was an american artist. He was born on 6th of august of the 1928, and he died on 22th of february of the 1987.

He was a very important person in the pop art.

My holidays

Segovia -

I had spent a half of my holidays in Paterna, the town where I life. In August I traveled to Segovia and I were there only four days. In Segovia I didn't saw a lot of thing because the last years I also traveled there.

When I came here, to Paterna, estarted the parties of the town. So, I was nigth and day with my friends. We went to two concerts; Reincidentes and Hombres G

They were very good, I like more Reincidentes than Hombres G, but bouth were rigth.

The parties lasted two weeks, there was the same as every year.

Calpe -

After the parties I turned to travel to Calpe, like every year too.

I was the since yesterday.

I didn't do absolutely nothing because those holydays were to be relaxed.

Cologne

We went to Cologne on Sunday; At the morning we catched a train to go to Cologne, but we had to catch three trains.

We arrived to Colonia at 2 o'clock, more or less. When we arrived we went to the hotel to leave the sweetcases and to rest a little.

After rest we went to the Chocolate Museum, we spend all the evening there, but if anybody wanted to go to the hotel he could. I went to the hotel with Raúl, Pau and Tomás to hotel because we were a little bit tired.

At seven o'clock we had to stayed at the livingroom for to dinner, but Joan and Luise arrived late and we had to wait a moment. We lunch at half past seven, and after lunch we stayed in the hotel doing what we what.

At ten o'clock we had to go to sleep, but Elisa and I, went to the room of; Raúl, Jaume, Pau, Samuel and Vicent, to speak and to stay with theirs. We were speaking even the one o'clock, and the Elisa went to sleep and I had to sleep with the boys.

On Monday we had to leave the rooms at nine o'clock. At half past nine we went to see the cathedral of Cologne.

we spend all our morning there, and then at four o'clock we went to the train to go to the airport.

We catched the plain at six o'clock. In the plane we had to seat together; Pau, Daniel and I. But when the plane started to fly, Daniel was changed the site with Raúl because we want to stay together.

We arrived to Spain at nine o'clock. I didn't want to come to Spain.

Wittmund

We arrived to Wittmund on May 14th.

For the travel we fly by plane from the Valencia's aeroplane to dusseldorf. We arrived to Dusseldorf at one o'clock, when we arrived there we catch three trains to go to Wittmund, we arrived to wittmund at half past nine. When we arrived to Wittmund we went some one with her/his families.

On thrusday I woke up at six o'clock, because at seven o'clock we had to stay in the achool because Henrieke, my EuroFriends, had class.

We had to stay at 8:35 in the livingroom, to apeak about what were we going to do later, and at 9 o'clockwe went to do a Tour around Friesland to visit interesting sights, and to lunch, We went home at 3 o'clock.

At the evening Henrieke and one of her friends bring me to a swimming-pool with Susana's Eurofriend, Julia, and with her.

On Friday we went to school at 8 o'clock since 3 o'clock to do Workshops, I was in the Cooking workshop. Since 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock we were looking for a soccer tournament in the school.

At half past 4 Henrieke were bring me to her house because qe had to buy a Spanish flag and to painted the Spanish flag in a t-shirt, because she had to were it on Saturday.

And at the nigth we went to the school because the teachers prepared a Disco, It were finish at 11 o'clock.

On Saturday we went to the center of Wittmund because the teachers of the Commite were organiced a little party, but It were bad because at the morning It started to rain.At the evening I went to Henrieke's friends and with theirs Eurofriend; Celia and a portugues girl.We stayed at Lena's house, a German girl, we were playing to the Wii and the we saw a singers programe. We went home at 11 o'clock.

On Sunday we were had to say bye to all the Europe Committe, and bye to our families.

Raja Harishchandra, was the first silent feature film made in India. It was made by Dadasaheb Phalke. The 1930s and 1940s were tumultuous times: India was buffeted by the Great Depression, World War II, the Indian independence movement, and the violence of the Partition.

MIRA NAIR

Mira Nair was born in October 15, 1957 at Rourkela, India.

She was educated at Delhi University and Harvard University. Her debut feature film, Salaam Bombay, won the Golden Camera award at the Cannes Film Festival and was also nominated for an Oscar. She often works with longtime creative collaborator, screenwriter Sooni Taraporevala, whom she met at Harvard.

At the beginning of her career as a film artist, Nair directed four documentaries. India Cabaret, a film about the lives of strippers in a Munbai nightclub, won an award at the American Film Festival in 1986.

Salaam Bombay (1988), with a screenplay by Sooni Taraporevala, was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film, and won many other awards. It is today considered a groundbreaking film classic, and is standard fare for film students.

Italy

The last week I traveled to Italy with my parents and with a friends. It was very nice.

I only visit Rome, It's very beautiful really, but when you are 6 days walking at everytime, at the end you feel very very tired, this happened to me. Well, I visited every monuments, sone museums and also some churts.

I bought a lot of thins in Rome, all of thw thing that you can find there, in Spain you can't find.

Well, I haven't got any more to say so, I invited everybody to visit Rome, It's fantastic.

Fallas

WHAT ARE FALLAS?

Fallas are a Valencian tradition which celebrates Saint Joseph day. Each neighbourhood of the city has an organized group of people, that works all year long holding fundraising parties and dinners.

WHAT DID I DO THIS FALLAS?

This Fallas I went to Valencia to see some monuments. The Saturday I spend all the afternoon in Valencia, to buy some things and to see Fallas.

The Sunday I went to a Pereza's concert, It was very good, but the problem is that I don't like Pereza a lot.

The Wednesday was la cremá, but this year I don't saw it because a traveled to Itali.

I hate a little the Fallas because all the children have Petardos, and I hate the sound of them.

I don't do any more in fallas, It's a little boring but It's the true.

New Year

At new year nigth I was dinner with my parents and with my friends.

It was very fun :)

After dinner, At 12 more or less, I stayed with my friends.

It was a little stupid nigth, because we haven't got anything no do.

Some friends tried to go inside of a party near our house, because the are older than me, so it's normal for their. But they haven't got good luck, so they turned with us.

Ana's Birthday

The 24 of august was the ana's birthday.

but we celebrated the birhtday the 14 of september.

Interactive white board

- An interactive/digital whiteboard is a tecnologic system by computer, with the interactive board you can se films and a lot of things in the board througth a computer. The interactive whiteboards are used in many schools.

There are many positive sides when using a white board, for example, that you din't have to you the traditional blackboard, now you can use the interactice white board, i think that this is good. Other positive side is that a lot of teachers use that, and is more interesting when you have to copy anything.

We have one in our classroom and I think that this is good but i also think that the other, the blackboard, is good too, but is better the new interactive white board... So, i like it! x)

Madrid & Toledo ..v -

On 7 of may. -

The last week we traveled to Madrid.

It was an excelent traveL! -

The objetive of the travel was that we learn to be autonomous.

And i think that we obtained this.. -

We visited a lot of places, museums, monuments, parks..

The firs day, when we arrived to the hostel, we went to visit a part of Madrid.

The second day we visited a museum Reina Sofia, I liked this museum a lot.

The third day we went to Toledo, at the morning we lost the AVE, and we had to catch the next train.. We also visited a lot of places, i also liked this city.. =)

The fourth day we went to lunch at the restaurant "Hilagui", and at the afternoon we continious visitng the city.

The last day, friday, we started to prepare our bags to come to Valencia, and at teh morning, more or less at 10:00, we up to he bus to come here..

The Fallas it is a tradition in valencia. the members are known as falleros and falleras. -

The 15th is the Plantà of the fallas, is the act in which the fallas are started mounting in the street.

On the 16th there begins the delivery of prizes of the infantile fallas.

- On the 18th it's "La nit del foc".Is one of the most important pyrotechnic night manifestations of the holiday.

And the 19th is the "cremá" of the fallas the nigth in which all the fallas of valencia are burned.

The christmas in Spain shares the same traditions with the countrys that practice the catholic relition.

Like in other parts of the world the families join to share and to enjoy the happiness of this celebration.

The adornments and elements used to take part in these holidays are similar in Europe and America. But the Spanish Christmas is the unique celebration.

The day of Christmas also is in the habit of eating up well in family

and in some cases Noel Dad visits the children to give them presents

but this custom is not so popular as in other countries.

A monday in my life

A day in my life is sometimes normal... I usually get up at 7:30 but in weekends i get up more late.

Then i go to shower and I am going to dress, normaly then to do this I go to breakfast.

At 8:30 I go away of my house and more or less at 9:45 I come to the school.

And then in the school I am until 4:30, I come to my house at 5:00, more or less.

At 5:15 I go away to Englishman's class, and come to my house at 7:45.

Then at my house I do my homeworks and always study a little bit.

At 9:30 i go to have dinner and then I go to watch T.V. Then at 11:00 I go to bed.

Violence of genre

The social role that attributes the woman to itself turns in victim of a specific violence who, though we know her for servant, is the most evident example of violence of genre.

The domestic violence is not given only dependent women, with few formation or under cultural standard; university young women or women of middle and high class are also an object of this type of aggressions, though his personal and economic possibilities do that does not extend in the time.

In spite of the difficulties and the fear it is necessary to break the silence. The silence always is an obstacle and one of the principal hobbles that the woman has to finish with him is itself. To be recognized as victim and to "betray" the one that has been his companion, to assume the social judgment, to feel responsible for the aggressions, the mistake of personal and economic perspectives … they are psychological and social factors that perpetúan the blight of the domestic violence.
